I Build IT

Work experience

Being a professional Full-stack software developer since 2013, I found my passion in bringing a client's vision to life. During these years I've built up experience with not only development, but with a lot of other skills that are involved in creating products. Next to developing, I'm really passionate about helping others, improving processes, thinking along with design, helping out finding candidates and having interviews and of course having fun.

Full stack Development Consultant @ Passionate People
Sharing knowledge, helping clients build software and setting up a solid solution. My first client was G-star at where most of my activities were to solve bugs in the current portal and later the migration to Angular. This was written in mostly Javascript/JQuery and partially React. My second client is VodafoneZiggo, where I helped the migration for the Enterprise portal from AngularJS to React with the use of a middleware written in NestJs + GraphQL. During my time at VodafoneZiggo I set up a new Feature toggle structure in the portal, to help speeding up the time to release. This was done with the use of AWS (DynamoDB).

Most used techniques: AngularJS, React, GraphQL, NestJs, Cypress, AWS

(Full-stack) Junior/Medior/Senior Software Developer @ Effectory
Development of user-friendly feedback tools to help organizations grow and increase the satisfaction of their employees. This involved Back-end, Front-end and DevOps work.

During my last years at Effectory I refactored the core portal to a new micro-front-end architecture which involved a lot of development teams. I set up a new Front-end component library together with a style library to create consistency between all the teams. Besides that, I took the lead in all Front- end related matters while occasionally I was also working on our event structured Back-end.

Because of the self-managing teams' structure at Effectory, there was a lot of responsibility for the developers. This made sure I got the chance to develop myself on a lot of soft skills, including being a professional mentor (followed a course), following courses about giving and receiving feedback and having interviews with potential candidates.

During my time at Effectory I took the opportunities to act as a temporary Product Owner and to help the designers create designs due to capacity problems. This gave me a lot of insights about stakeholder management and the most efficient way of working between developers and design.
